PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A Social Media Reality Series
- A competition that'll be offering a diverse group of 100 participants the opportunity to earn a (1200SQFT) place to call home for life.
- Based around Homesteading and sustainable living by use of renewable reusable energy type systems.
- Practical instruction and training will be taught in various fields, including welding, plumbing, electrical, building construction, woodworking, agriculture, animal husbandry, among many other skills.
- Real time social media engagement with contestants
- Charitable initiatives sometimes offered after elimination rounds
THE BASIC CONCEPT
- Consider Your Second Chance Online as a blend of Habitat for Humanity and the Peace Corps, infused with elements of suspense, drama, and excitement. This unique combination creates an engaging platform for personal growth and community support.
- By selecting a group of 100 diverse individuals over the age of 18, who'll be given the task of building a eco-friendly, off the grid homestead community together.
- This wouldn't be a realty show if there weren't group and individual challenges with a elimination round every 2 weeks, were two to three individuals will be sent home. But, two to three monthly website members will be given the opportunity to come replacing them in the competition.
- They'll be playing for a 1200SQFT mortgage, tax and energy free home with most of their monthly yearly food bill also being provided.
FUTURE GOALS & OBJECTIVES
- Securing the funds necessary to purchase the parcel of land needed to build the Community Homestead.
- Creating a unique website where new members can complete a 100-question personality test. This assessment focuses on aspects such as mental processing, wisdom, ambition, and teamwork skills. By using the results, we'll be able to select the first group of contestants that shares some compatibility with one another.
- Your Second Chance Online is actively seeking individuals who are experienced in living self-sufficiently on their family homesteads throughout the United States. These individuals possess valuable knowledge and skills related to establishing, developing, and maintaining an off-grid community.
- Your Second Chance Online is also looking for individuals who already have some basic knowledge, skill, and or experience in the building trades like these five examples.
